CDD believes in respectful and vigorous engagement with and among students, staff and faculty about vital issues that divide the UC Davis community. Complex issues, like freedom of expression, race relations, and the Israel-Palestine conflict, can often lead to strong disagreement between different perspectives.

We bring groups and individuals from across the UC Davis campus together and create productive spaces so they can freely exchange information and ideas, openly share experiences and viewpoints, and collectively propose solutions to problems. This open and inclusive process leads to greater understanding of the issues, increased trust, and better relationships within the community.
